How We Can Support You

Old gent and carer

Carers who are providing regular and substantial care to someone have a legal right to an assessment of their own needs.

Carers come in all shapes and sizes and we know that ONE SIZE does NOT fit ALL! Our services maybe generic, but they are tailored to the individual’s needs.
Click on any of the headings below to see which kind of service best suits YOU.

You choose how we can support you best.

Carers Assessments
Carers who are providing regular and substantial care to someone have a legal right to an assessment of their own needs.

It is your chance to discuss with Carers’ Support what help you need with caring. You can discuss any help that would maintain the balance of your own health with caring with other aspects of your life, such as work and family. Carers’ Support uses the assessment to decide what help to provide.

We can offer you help and information to guide you through a variety of issues and generally improve your sense of well-being by:

  • Providing awareness of benefits
  • Providing awareness of community services
  • Developing a Support Plan if you require support at home
  • Assessing & supplying equipment and minor adaptations to your home
  • Helping you take charge of and manage your own affairs
All services are confidential, impartial and non-judgemental and are designed to make life easier for carers.
Respite Opportunities
If there are enough carers who would like to get together for a day out or maybe some pampering, we can organise respite trips and activities, depending on the demand.
